​An educator at heart, Shakisha Morgan, Esq. is a learner, strategist, and connector affectionately known as The Legacy Counselor. As the Founder and Principal Attorney of The Morgan Firm, LLC, Shakisha is on a mission to see more financially secure families who engage meaningfully and knowledgeably with each other about building wealth, especially through estate planning.

A proud graduate of Prince George’s County, Maryland Public Schools, Stanford University, and Georgetown Law, Shakisha has devoted herself to increasing access to Black generational wealth through her work conducting community & corporate workshops, delivering guest lectures and keynotes, and providing transformative advice to her clients. She is a published author on topics related to estate planning, multigenerational wealth building, Black wealth, and servant leadership. She also has the distinct honor of teaching at the University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law, a public, historically Black, land-grant university in Washington, D.C.

Shakisha is the host of “Estate Ready with The Legacy Counselor” – a podcast created with one goal: to communicate that estate planning is for EVERYONE! On the show, Shakisha and her guests discuss the estates of some of their favorite celebrities (like Bob Marley, Nipsey Hussle, and Aretha Franklin) and highlight key take-aways that you can apply in your own life.

Shakisha is the proud daughter of Jamaican immigrants, a ride-or-die sister, devoted wife, intentional mother of two daughters, and committed mentor.
